ACES (Action for Community Empowerment in Syria) is an officially licensed local NGO in northern Syria. We started our work in 2022 in conjunction with Columbia University in New York City to provide mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) awareness and training to communities affected by war, displacement, hardship and trauma. We have expanded our program to cover all of North and East Syria to train communities on MHPSS, Gender-Based Violence prevention and support for survivors, and child abuse prevention.
